Navy

… doesn’t have a major disability, but she’s lived through extraordinary circumstances, shaped by her brother's (Beckham) eight-year battle with cancer. She was just under two when he was diagnosed, and nine years old when he passed away—three and a half years ago. Throughout that time, Navy was always by his side, witnessing intense treatments, hospital stays, and the heartbreaking loss of many young friends.

Despite everything she’s experienced, Navy radiates light. She’s the kind of person who makes everyone—kids and adults alike—feel welcome, valued, and loved. Many call her their best friend. She has a beautiful gift to love deeply and believe in the good, even in the face of pain. Her super-power is her golden hear: it’s one that brings people together and reminds them they are never alone.
